This rejuvenating Qigong and Yoga retreat leads us on a 7 step journey exploring where we come from, how to engage our constitutional strengths and nourish the true essence of ourselves and others.

Designed as a pathway to share, Roots uses Chinese medical theory to explain how our bodies are formed from the bones up. To access the essences and deep energies in the organs and bones we practice Qigong and Restorative Yoga. The Roots teachings focus in how to nourish our Yin - the inner essences of the body. We explore Yin as the anchor for the mind, you will discover the importance of free-flowing energy, the prevalence of burnout and the significance of healthy self-expression as key to holistic well-being.

Our being is made up of Earth and Water - a contrast of energies which require ongoing support to stay in harmony. Being at one with the flow of the world around us is supported by optimising free-flows through Tibetan Yoga - a practice of mindful presence. On this retreat we explore where energy comes from, how to be at home in our bodies and cultivate a peaceful mind while balancing the meridians.

Practicing Tibetan Yoga is body centred meditation which helps us to put the mind in the body. Drawing on teachings from esoteric healing traditions and Chinese medicine we learn to observe ourselves as layers of energy. From this view point we can learn to master our emotions, steer the mind and direct our energy in ways which support the unfolding of our true nature.
